Tallulah Wicks could have sworn that she had only closed her eyes for ten minutes, but the change in daytime talk shows on TV begged to differ.
She sat up from the spot on the couch, yawning and stretching as she halfheartedly listened to the program. Tallulah yawned again and looked around the living room, trying to remember what she was doing before her late afternoon nap; it didn’t take her long to remember the towels on the coffee table in front of her. “Oh. When she finally managed to return home Daisy Barton let herself into her family’s home. Thankfully, the maid was gone for the day, her mother was out at some sort of ladies meeting, and her father wouldn’t be home for another hour or so. Augustus Sinclair sat in his company' board meeting room, he laughed with the men in the meeting as they smoke and drank, having a good time for discussing business anyway. As soon he went to pour his future business partners a drink his personal secretary walked in, she had a very worried look on her face.
"Excuse me, sir?" She spoke softly, hating to interrupt them.
Sinclair looked at her "Yes?"
"Sir, it's Miss Barton; she's in your office."
